N2Shape offers one-on-one and small group personal training and group fitness classes at:

Group Training & Group Exercise Classes are small, personalized, and offered in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. 

Programs include Group Training, Spinning®, Yoga, Strength Training, Stretching, Senior Fitness, Pilates, Boot Camp.

In addition to studio services, Ellen’s team offers fitness services to residential communities, in-home, or workplace clients throughout the greater Washington D.C. area.

Class Description

Group Training

Group of 2 to 6 people with the same benefits of personal training  but with the dynamic of being a part of a team – support and motivation from all!  Sessions vary but include strength training, cardiovascular exercise, balance, and core conditioning.

Boot Camp (for all levels!)

Class members will visit various stations set up to increase strength and muscular endurance. The personal trainer who leads the class will modify each station according to the class member’s needs/level. Equipment includes kettlebells, dumbbells and your our own body weight in non stop action.

Boxing

Amateur ring boxer and personal trainer Stacy Griner has adopted her fighting techniques into a unique workout that burns calories and stress at the same time.

Pilates

Pilates emphasizes core strength, flexibility and breathing. Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels. Workouts can be customized for various needs – from rehabilitating injured joints to enhancing athletic performance.

Spinning

Utilizing heart rate monitors to track calories burned and to ensure that we are in our proper heart rate zones, the instructor leads you through a ride to music and imaginary terrain. Each month the theme for each week day class changes so that riders experience all training zones which include endurance, strength, Race Day, and intervals. Ladies Spin every Tuesday and Thursday morning.

Trekking

A trainer leads a journey of hills, mountains, and sprints on the treadmill, bike, and elliptical trainer, with a focus on cardiovascular endurance. Every session includes a check-in on short-term fitness goals.

Yoga

Millions of practitioners over thousands of years have used yoga to increase flexibility and strength, and promote relaxation. N2SHAPE offers Vinyasa, Power, and Flow Yoga, as well as a popular Rooftop Yoga class overlooking Washington, DC.

Zumba®

Zumba Fitness® is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a “fitness-party” that is downright addictive.
