Now when he looks in the mirror, Aaron Fulp-Eickstaedt sees a healthy, motivated, determined man. That was not always the case. Fulp-Eickstaedt, a Presbyterian minister, admitted that for most of his adult life, his health was not not a top priority. In 2011, when a close friend died too early from the consequences of not taking care of himself, Fulp-Eickstaedt knew he had to make significant changes in his life. At 6’ 4” and 250 pounds, Fulp-Eickstaedt suffered from high blood pressure, pain in his joints, back pain from an injury, and overall tiredness. His clothes were getting tighter and tighter and his stress level increasing.

Ellen Yates, one of his parishioners, took notice and invited Fulp-Eickstaedt to join N2Shape, her personal fitness training company. He agreed and Yates customized a plan not only to help Fulp-Eickstaedt get healthy but one that would work with his demanding schedule. Through the professional trainers at N2Shape, Fulp-Eickstaedt was introduced to spinning, weight training, and group boot camp which incorporates all types of exercises. “My exercise is done by 7:30 am most days, so it doesn’t interfere with my work day at all. The N2Shape trainers interject different exercises in the various classes to keep things moving and exciting.”

Fulp-Eickstaedt also committed to eating healthier by making slow changes in his diet and by keeping a food journal for close to two years. Now, 60 pounds later at a svelte 194 pounds and down from a 42 to a 33- inch waist, Fulp-Eickstaedt feels more confident, organized, and energetic. “Of course I have bad days, and miss my workout, or eat too many desserts,” said Fulp-Eickstaedt, “but I keep in mind that I have choices and one of the choices I make if I’ve had a bad day, is to do better tomorrow.”

The N2Shape trainers monitor Fulp-Eickstaedt’s workouts and his new diet regime. His spin buddies help keep him on track, too, because they support one another and hold each other accountable. “It’s important to take that first step,” said Fulp-Eickstaedt, “and then stick with it. I am so fortunate to have N2Shape’s programs and support.”
